To use the built-in Miracast protocol of the Win10 computer system to directly connect to other devices, the computer’s hardware first needs to support the Miracast protocol. Today, we will mainly talk about how to use the Miracast protocol for direct connection, so we assume that Win10 computers and other devices support the Miracast protocol by default.
The prerequisite for screen mirroring is that the computer and mobile phone are on the same local area network.
WIN10 computer screen mirroring shortcut key: Win+P
On a Win10 computer, press the WIN key between Ctrl and Alt+P to quickly change the current projection mode. On the right side of the computer, four modes will appear: ‘Computer Screen Only’, ‘Copy’, ‘Expand’, and ‘Second Screen Only’. In this panel, you will find an option at the bottom called “Connect to Wireless Monitor”. After clicking, Win10 will automatically search for other display devices that support Miracast protocol. For example, if your TV supports Miracast, you can directly project the Win10 desktop onto the TV after connecting it.
PS: Through the Bijie Multimedia Collaboration System, Win10 computers can also customize shortcut keys.
If the WIN10 computer screen casting shortcut cannot directly cast the screen, you need to perform the following operations to cast the screen on the WIN10 computer.
Open the “Operation Center” in the bottom right corner of the desktop on the computer and click the “Connect” button;
Then select ‘Select Projection to This Computer’;
The setting interface of ‘projecting onto this computer’ is actually the setting for the display of this computer after receiving the screen projection signal. That is to say, the computer currently set is the machine that receives the signal rather than the machine that sends the screen projection signal, because the computer that sends the screen projection requirement does not require any settings, only the wireless network card function in the platform is needed.
In the settings, select ‘When you agree, Windows computers and phones can project to this computer’ and modify it to ‘Available in all locations’;
