Miracast is a wireless display standard developed by the Wi Fi Alliance in 2012, based on Wi Fi Direct. 3C devices that support this standard, such as smartphones, televisions, projectors, computers, etc., can share video images wirelessly. This means that with this technology, smartphones can achieve screen mirroring with large screen devices such as televisions and computers without the need for any cables.
How to use Miracast wireless screen mirroring function on Windows 10 computer?
Prerequisite: To achieve screen mirroring interaction, two devices need to be connected to the same WiFi.
1. Go to Settings ->System ->Project to this computer for relevant configuration.
(You can also directly search for “Project to this computer” or click on the link in the lower left corner of the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop ->”Project to this computer” to enter.)
2. Click on the connection in the bottom left corner of the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop to search for devices. (To use a smartphone to screen a computer, turn on the wireless screen mirroring function on your phone to search for the computer device you want to connect to. Huawei/Honor’s is called wireless screen mirroring, Xiaomi’s is called wireless display, and other mobile devices can search for “wireless” to find and enable the corresponding function.)
3. Select the device to be projected and connect. At this point, the device to be projected will receive a request to connect, asking “Do you want to allow XXX to project here?” Click “Yes” to start establishing the projection connection. (If the device being projected is set to require a PIN to connect, then a PIN is required.)
After waiting for a moment, you can successfully establish a connection and start the screen casting journey.
