Mirror screen projection – How to operate a phone mirror screen projection?
1. Local video projection
Player screen projection
Many built-in video players on mobile phones have a screen projection function. We can find a small TV shaped icon in the upper right corner, which is the screen projection function.
In addition, many mobile browsers can also play videos, and the player also has a screen projection function. If you cannot find it, you can open the auxiliary menu bar to search.
This type of player is usually able to search for devices for screen projection as long as the phone and TV are on the same WiFi.
USB data cable screen projection
When we use a USB cable to connect our phone and TV, we use our phone as a mobile storage device.
In this case, the TV can directly read the local videos saved on the phone and play them directly. Of course, the phone needs to remain connected and cannot be disconnected.
If you need to obtain file read permission, you also need to click ‘agree’.
Third party software screen projection
Some third-party software is specifically designed for screen projection, such as Quick Projection, which allows for screen projection between multiple ports on mobile phones, computers, and televisions.
This software has a variety of screen projection methods. Wireless screen projection can be achieved by scanning the QR code and inputting a digital screen projection code, while wired screen projection can be connected through a USB data cable.
And its wireless screen casting function also supports screen casting between devices on different WiFi, which can not only cast local videos but also online videos.
2.Online video projection
Software push screen projection
When we watch online videos on video apps such as Bilibili, Tencent Video, and iQiyi, we can also see a screen projection function in the upper right corner, which can be directly projected onto the TV for playback.
However, this screen projection method belongs to the push type, which pushes the video playback address to the TV for playback. If the TV’s network is poor or restricted, it will not be able to play.
Mobile phone synchronous mirror projection
Nowadays, many mobile phones also have their own screen projection function. We can find the screen projection function in the “Connect and Share” menu in the phone settings menu (different phones may have different names, which are generally the settings menu for connection and sharing).
Click to search for the device name of the TV, and you can proceed with screen projection.
This type of screen projection is usually synchronized and mirrored through a local area network. It is necessary to keep the device on the same WiFi network, while the phone needs to turn on both Bluetooth and WiFi functions.
In most cases, the screen projection will synchronize all the images displayed on the phone, so we need to keep the phone in the video playback interface and cannot chat on WeChat while the screen projection displays the video.
For convenience, we can also find the screen projection function in the drop-down menu bar. If it is not available, you can manually add it through the edit menu.
If it is an iOS phone, you can use the AirPlay function to project the screen.
Transfer line projection
As we mentioned earlier, if the phone is connected using a USB data cable, it can only play local videos. This is because the phone signal cannot be directly received by the TV and can only be considered as a mobile storage device.
So if we need to perform wired screen projection, we can use a signal adapter (such as an MHL adapter) through the HDMI port to connect the device.
After connecting, select the signal source on the TV as the corresponding interface to display the projection screen.
