Screen mirroring – Screen mirroring is divided into wireless mirroring and wired mirroring. How do you use each of them?

Screen casting category

Screen casting is mainly divided into two categories: ① wireless screen casting; ② Wired screen projection
Among them, wireless screen casting is used by a larger group, which is further subdivided according to different operations.

1. Wireless screen mirroring

Mainstream smartphones (including Apple and Android) have screen mirroring function, which can be enabled when the phone and TV are connected to the same network. This function is usually set in the shortcut menu bar of the phone, which can be viewed by pulling down from the top right corner of the phone interface.
Apple phones use “screen mirroring”, while Huawei phones use “screen mirroring”

1) Screen casting software

Additionally, when this method fails to connect, the power of screen casting software can be utilized. There are many screen casting software available in the current TV app store.

When both the phone and TV have downloaded the Bijie screen mirroring and are in the same network environment, they can connect. The advantage of using screen casting software is that it can be used on multiple devices, such as a computer casting a TV.
In fact, this method is more suitable to be called “same screen” because it synchronously displays the screen of the phone on the TV (when the phone performs any operation, it will be displayed on the TV). The phone must remain constantly lit, otherwise the connection will be interrupted. So it is more suitable for making PPT presentations in business meetings.

2) Multimedia Collaboration System

Nowadays, many enterprises and universities have carried out intelligent office and smart classroom transformation, and wireless conferencing and multi screen interaction have gradually become essential functions. This requires a professional screen casting tool – Bijie Multimedia Collaboration System. The Bijie Multimedia Collaboration System supports multiple screen casting protocols such as Miracast, AirPlay, WiDi, Googlecast, HUAWEIcast+, etc., and can cast screens without downloading software. At the same time, it has multiple practical functions such as BYOM, information publishing, weak network confrontation, screen mirroring and anti control, RTSP recording and playback, and mirror screen sharing.

3) Video software screen projection

The vast majority of mobile video apps support screen mirroring (iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, etc.), which can be viewed by opening any video, usually set in the upper right corner of the interface. When the phone and TV are connected to the same local area network, the phone can select the TV screen mirroring function to search for and connect to the TV device.

This screen casting method is only for broadcasting TV series, but the advantage is that after successful screen casting, the phone can perform other operations, such as chatting on WeChat or playing games. It will not affect the screen casting content and also supports automatic playback of the next episode.

2. Wired screen projection

Compared to wireless screen casting, the advantage of wired screen casting is reduced latency, but the exposure of cables can also cause interference to the environment. At present, only some projectors support data line projection, which is suitable for people who are not satisfied with small screen games.
