Steps to use Miracast|BJCast
Miracast is a wireless screen mirroring technology that allows you to wirelessly transfer content from your mobile device (such as a smartphone, tablet) or computer to a TV, monitor, or other compatible device. The following are the general steps to enable Miracast functionality, which may vary depending on device type and operating system:
Confirm device support
Firstly, you need to confirm whether your device (such as a phone, tablet, or computer) supports Miracast functionality. Most newer Android devices, computers running Windows 10 and above, and some smart TVs support Miracast.
Steps to open Miracast on Android devices
- Connect to the same Wi Fi network: Ensure that your Android device and receiver (such as a TV or monitor) are connected to the same Wi Fi network.
- Open Settings: Find and click on the “Settings” icon on the main interface of the Android device.
- Enter Connection Settings: In the settings menu, scroll down and find options such as “Connect and Share” or “More Connection Methods”, then click to enter.
- Enable screen mirroring function: In the connection and sharing or other connection methods, find options such as “screen mirroring” or “wireless display” (some devices may directly refer to Miracast function as “wireless display”), and turn it on.
- Select device: In the list of available devices, select the name of the TV or monitor you want to screen and connect. After successful connection, the content on the Android device screen will be displayed in real-time on the receiving device.
Steps to open Miracast on a Windows computer
- Connect to the same Wi Fi network: Ensure that your Windows computer and receiver (such as a TV or monitor) are connected to the same Wi Fi network.
- Open Settings: On a Windows computer, press the “Win+I” key to open Settings, then click “System” ->”Project to this computer”.
- Enable Miracast: On the “Project to this computer” settings page, ensure that the option “Some Windows and Android devices can project to this computer when you agree” is checked, and select “Available in all locations” (if applicable). At this point, your computer is ready to receive Miracast screen casting requests from other devices.
- Mobile operation: Open the screen mirroring function on your phone (as described in the Android device steps above), and select your computer name to connect. After successful connection, the content on the phone screen will be displayed in real-time on the computer.
By following the above steps, you should be able to successfully open and use Miracast function for wireless screen mirroring. If encountering difficulties, it is recommended to consult the user manual of the device or contact the device manufacturer for support.
