Tencent conference local recording file permission
- If there are multiple recording sessions in a meeting, multiple recording files are generated in chronological order. After resuming from the paused state, it is combined with the recorded content before the pause in a recorded file.
- If the recording is interrupted due to unexpected circumstances, you can find the recording file of the meeting in the historical meeting and complete the transcoding to view the recorded content before the interruption;
Enabling local recording
Windows/macOS
- In a meeting, click Record and choose Record Local.
If the user is currently silent, the user is reminded to “unmute” or “keep silent recording”. Start recording after the selection is complete.
If the user is currently on the MIC, recording is enabled normally.
- After starting recording, Record changes to End Recording at the bottom.
The upper left corner of the main window displays the recording status, with control ICONS for “pause recording” and “end recording”;
Click the triangle icon on the right of “End Recording” in the bottom toolbar to add “pause recording” and “end recording” functions in the expanded menu bar;
Pause recording: Click to pause the current recording, and the button changes to “resume recording”;
Resume recording: To restore the recording status;
End recording: end and exit recording state, and prompt “When the meeting ends, the recorded file will be automatically converted to MP4 format”;
In the member list, the recording status remains the same.
- After the meeting ends, the system will automatically record and transcode for you. After the transcoding is complete, the system will open the folder that saves the recorded file for quick browsing.
Local recording rights (Only for the Moderator or co-moderator)
Windows/macOS
During a meeting, click the triangle icon on the right of Record at the bottom to display three recording rights: Only the moderator can record, all members can record, and some members can record.
Recording only by moderator: The default option. Only the moderator or co-moderator can enable recording.
All members can record: All participants can start recording.
Allow some members to record: After this function is enabled, the moderator or co-moderator can start recording. You can also allow common participants to start recording in Manage Members.
Forbid recording: With the permission of allowing some members to record, the moderator/co-moderator can revoke the permission of the participant who has previously “Allowed recording”. In Manage Members, select the user and click “Forbid recording”.
Android/iOS
During a meeting, click “More — Recording Settings” to display three recording permissions: “Only the moderator can record”, “all members can record”, and “Allow some members to record”.
Recording only by moderator: The default option. Only the moderator or co-moderator can enable recording.
All members can record: All participants can start recording.
Allow some members to record: After this function is enabled, the moderator or co-moderator can start recording. You can also allow common participants to start recording in Manage Members.
