The steps to cast the Google Cast screen are as follows
Preparation
- Equipment requirements:
- Make sure that BJCast multimedia collaboration system devices, such as BJ66, support Google Cast functionality.
- Make sure that the projection device (phone, tablet, or computer) supports the Google Cast protocol.
- Make sure that the Bijie device and the projection device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Network environment:
- Make sure the Wi-Fi network is stable to avoid getting stuck or interruptions during screen projection.
Screen projection operation steps
1. Connect BJCast devices
- Connect a BJCast device (such as the BJ66) to the TV or projector via an HDMI cable, and make sure the device is turned on.
- Make sure the BJCast device is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
2. Turn on Google Cast
- In the main interface or settings of the BJCast device, locate and enable the Google Cast feature.
- Write down the name of the BJCast device (e.g. “BJ-Conference-Room”).
3. Operate on the screen projection device
- Phone/tablet (Android or iOS):
- Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet (requires advance installation).
Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your BJCast device. - In the Google Home App, click the “cast” icon in the upper right corner.
- In the device list, select the BJCast device (e.g. “BJ-Conference-Room”).
- After the screen projection is successful, the content on the mobile phone or tablet will be displayed on the TV or projector.
- Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet (requires advance installation).
- Computer (Chrome browser):
- Open Chrome browser and make sure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Click the “More” menu (three dots) in the upper right corner of the browser and select “Projection”.
- In the device list, select the Bijie device (e.g. “BJ-Conference-Room”).
- Select the screen projection mode (e.g. “Full Screen” or “Single Tab”).
- After the screen projection is successful, the content of the computer screen or tab will be displayed on the TV or projector.
4. Start projection
- After the screen projection is successful, you can play videos, presentations or browse a web on your mobile phone, tablet or computer, and the content will be displayed on the TV or projector in real time.
- Play, pause, volume and other operations can be controlled on the screen projection device.
5. end projection
- In the Google Home App or Chrome browser, click “Stop Screen Casting” to disconnect.
- Or directly select “Disconnect Screen Projection” on the main interface of the Bijie device.
