Why Airplay not working?|BJCast
AirPlay may not work properly due to various reasons. Here are some common reasons and their corresponding solutions:
1.Device connection issues
Not on the same network:
Ensure that both Apple devices (such as iPhone, iPad) and AirPlay receiving devices (such as smart TVs, Apple TVs, or AirPlay enabled speakers) are connected to the same Wi Fi network.
Check the Wi Fi signal strength, and if the signal is weak, try bringing the device closer to the router or reconnecting to the network.
Ensure that the router has not enabled AP isolation function, which will prevent direct communication between devices.
Device not turned on or set up incorrectly:
Ensure that the TV is turned on and in a state that can be searched by mobile phones.
If the TV supports screen mirroring, please ensure that the feature is turned on and that the network connected to the TV is on the same Wi Fi as the phone.
On an Apple device, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center and make sure the “Screen Mirroring” or “AirPlay” options are turned on.
2.Equipment compatibility issues
System version incompatibility:
Ensure that the operating system of Apple devices is the latest version, as older versions may have known compatibility issues.
Try updating the TV system or software to ensure it supports the latest screen mirroring technology.
Hardware does not support:
Not all televisions support AirPlay. If the TV is older or does not support AirPlay, you can consider using an HDMI adapter or cable for wired connection, or using third-party screen mirroring software.
3.Network configuration issues
Firewall or security software blocking:
In some cases, computer firewalls or security software may block AirPlay connections. Ensure that AirPlay related programs are allowed to pass through firewalls or security software.
Network instability:
Try restarting the router to resolve potential network connectivity issues.
Ensure stable network connection. If the signal is weak, try bringing the device closer to the router or reconnecting to the network.
4.Other common questions
Cache issue:
Try clearing cached data on your Apple device or TV to avoid issues caused by caching.
Do not disturb mode:
Ensure that the Apple device is not in Do Not Disturb mode, as it may prevent the device from being detected in AirPlay.
Software conflict:
Some applications or settings may conflict with AirPlay functionality, causing it to malfunction. Try closing unnecessary applications or resetting network settings to resolve the issue.
5.Alternative solutions
If AirPlay still doesn’t work properly, the following alternative solutions can be considered:
Use third-party screen casting software such as BJCast.
Using an HDMI adapter or cable: for wired connections, this method is usually more stable and direct.
